What We Collect
When you use Futurika Online, we collect:
- Account data: username, email, password (hashed), avatar choice
- Forum content: posts, threads, reactions you publish
- Technical data: IP address (for spam prevention), browser user-agent, login timestamps
- Cookies: session cookie to keep you logged in
Why We Collect It
We process your data to provide the forum service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) — contract) and for security/abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest).
Third Parties
Your data is shared with:
- Google LLC (USA): Google Fonts and reCAPTCHA (anti-spam) receive your IP address. Google Privacy Policy
- Email delivery: We use third-party service providers to send transactional emails such as account verification. Your email address is shared with these providers solely for this purpose.
Data Retention
Account data (username, email, password) is kept until you delete your account. Upon deletion, all personal identifiers are permanently erased.
Forum posts are retained after account deletion but fully anonymised — your name is replaced with "Deleted User" and no link to your identity is preserved. Posts contribute to community discussions and are not considered personal data once de-linked.
IP addresses used for rate limiting are kept up to 24 hours. Session data expires when you log out.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and data ("right to be forgotten") — you can do this instantly from your profile page. This removes all personal data (username, email, password) and attributes your posts to a deleted user.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict processing
